Tecnoidea’s horizontal centrifugal pumps are designed to handle turbid water, dense sludge and highly abrasive fluids. With impellers and pump bodies lined with thick abrasion-resistant rubber, the horizontal pumps are designed to draw liquids from above-ground tanks.
Unlike the vertical models or the submersible pumps, the horizontal configuration places the entire pump outside the tank in a dry installation.

Since the pump is installed outside the tank, the process fluid is drawn through a suction pipe connected to the tank or vessel.

This configuration is well suited to plant layouts that use above-ground collection tanks (such as containerised systems), where installing a vertical pump inside the tank is not possible or practical.

The pump bodies are lined with thick abrasion-resistant rubber, available either as a removable lining or vulcanised directly onto the pump body.
Depending on the characteristics of the sludge, the open impeller can be rubber-lined or made of hardened high-chromium cast iron.
The horizontal range is available in configurations suited to different space and power requirements, with directly coupled models (TDM series) or versions with belt-and-pulley transmission (IN and TD series).
The shaft and mechanical seals are protected by a closed-circuit cooling system, while all rotating components are guarded by dedicated covers compliant with the EN 60240-1 standard.
