Plate opening:
Simultaneous,
with drive chain
Designed for the mechanical dewatering of sludge in standard and medium-output applications (with a capacity of up to around 3.3 m³ per cycle), the sidebar filter press separates the water from the solid fraction.
A robust solution suited to a wide range of sludge types and industrial applications.
From thickened sludge to a solid, spadeable cake, the sidebar filter press cycle is designed for efficient water recovery and reduced waste volumes.
The thickened sludge is pumped under pressure into the central feed channel, filling the chambers formed by the plates and lined with filter cloths.

The pressure forces the water out, turning the incoming sludge — which is around 70% water — into solid, spadeable cakes.

Once pressing is complete, the moving head retracts and the machine opens the entire plate pack simultaneously by means of a drive chain. A bar- or chain-type shaking system helps the cakes detach from the plates and fall.

Built to withstand wear, every component of the Tecnoidea Impianti sidebar filter press is designed to keep maintenance low and protect operators.

A reliable mechanical system for opening the plate pack simultaneously, well suited to configurations up to 15 metres long (such as the 1300 XXL model with 75 plates).
Moulded in one piece, with increased thickness. The plates are designed without bosses: this structural feature helps prevent damage to cloths and plates, extending their service life.
The steel frame undergoes a four-stage protective treatment: sand-blasting, zinc metallisation, painting and a final textured finish.
Aluminium plate handles designed for easy maintenance, together with a filtrate collection tray integrated directly into the frame.
Whip-check safety cables are fitted to every hydraulic hose to protect the operator. The entire range is designed in compliance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Custom filter cloths:
A wide range of filter cloths with different permeability, mesh characteristics and surface finishes, selected on the basis of specific laboratory tests to match the particle size distribution (PSD) of the sludge to be treated.
