Tecnoidea’s submersible centrifugal pumps are designed to operate immersed in tanks or sumps. Designed for installation directly on the bottom of buried collection sumps, they integrate the pump hydraulic section and the electric motor in a single sealed unit. With pump bodies and key wear components protected by thick abrasion-resistant rubber, these machines are fitted with safety probes to detect any water ingress and to monitor overheating.

How the submersible abrasion-resistant pump works

Fully submersible configuration

Unlike the vertical or horizontal models, both the pump hydraulic section and the electric motor operate fully immersed in the fluid.

dav

Motor and cooling

To operate in these conditions, the electric motor is sealed, insulated (insulation class F) and designed for continuous operation. The pump also incorporates an oil-cooling system.

Operational management

Pump control and automated level control inside the sump are managed by stainless steel rod probes (with the option of adding sonar or radar probes). The discharge connection is made using a double-flanged spiral rubber hose, to damp vibrations.

gestione operativa

Safety and wear-resistant components

With the motor and hydraulic components fully immersed, dedicated sensors and wear-resistant materials are required to protect against water ingress and abrasion.

Tecnoideaimpianti-pompa-sommersa

Safety sensors

To minimise the risk of water entering the motor, every pump is fitted with a safety probe to detect water ingress and a temperature probe to monitor motor overheating.

Cooling and seals

The system is further protected by a double mechanical seal and an oil-cooling system.

Thick linings

The pump bodies are lined with thick abrasion-resistant rubber, with either removable linings or rubber vulcanised directly onto the pump body.

Open impeller

The fluid is moved by an open impeller, which can be supplied rubber-lined or made of hardened high-chromium cast iron. The wear bush and shaft sleeve are also lined with abrasion-resistant rubber.

Vibration reduction

The discharge connection is made using a double-flanged spiral rubber hose, to damp vibrations.

Standard and optional equipment

Standard equipment

  • Sealed motor with Class F insulation, selected for continuous operation.
  • Power cables supplied as standard, 10 m long
  • Pump body lined with thick abrasion-resistant rubber, available in a removable version or directly vulcanised
  • Open impeller (rubber-lined or in hardened high-chromium cast iron) and rubber-lined wear bush and shaft sleeve
  • Double mechanical seal combined with an oil-cooling system
  • Stainless steel rod probes for pump control and automated level management

Optional equipment

Optional level sensor
Sonar probe available on request as an alternative to the standard stainless steel rod probes.
