Tecnoidea’s vertical centrifugal pumps are designed to handle turbid water, sludge and abrasive mixtures directly from collection tanks. The motor stays dry while the hydraulic section is immersed in the water, with pump bodies lined with thick abrasion-resistant rubber.
The vertical configuration is designed to address a common requirement in washing plants: lifting water from the lowest points of the plant.
In many plants, the turbid water is conveyed by gravity into tanks or sumps built below ground level. The vertical pump is designed to fit into these spaces, draw the water and transfer it to the clarifier.

The machine is built on a vertical axis. The hydraulic section operates immersed in the fluid, while the electric motor remains outside and completely dry.

Beyond use in buried sumps, the unit can be installed on top of above-ground metal tanks or vessels (e.g. containerised plants).

Mechanical and hydraulic parts designed to resist abrasion and make monitoring and maintenance easier.

The pump bodies are protected by a thick abrasion-resistant rubber lining, available either as a removable lining or vulcanised directly onto the pump body.
The pump uses an open impeller, available either rubber-lined or in hardened high-chromium cast iron.
The motor-to-shaft connection can use either a direct coaxial coupling or an optional V-belt transmission.
The unit is fitted with guards and safety devices compliant with the EN 60240-1 standard.
The bearing lubrication points are easily accessible from outside the unit.
The motor is protected from the weather by a protective cover integrated into the frame.
V-belt transmission
As an alternative to the direct coaxial coupling, the machine can be fitted with a V-belt transmission.
