FBB Frischbeton AG Bäretswil operates a local plant producing ready-mixed concrete and processing crushed stone and gravel, located in Bäretswil, in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. It is part of the long-established Swiss group FBB Unternehmungen, active in construction, recycling and transport since 1927. Its activities range from ready-mixed concrete production and the operation of sand and gravel quarries to supply and logistics for construction sites across the region.

The project challenges

Mixer-truck washing

Intensive concrete production generates significant volumes of wastewater from daily mixer-truck washing.
