Gloggner AG is a Swiss company based in Perlen, in the Canton of Lucerne, operating in construction logistics, waste management, recycling and sludge treatment.
Its activities include construction-site logistics using its own fleet of tipper trucks and roll-off skips, treatment plants for sludge, road-sweeping waste and aggregate recycling, as well as the operation of landfills and sorting centres for construction materials.
The project challenges
Complex feed materials
The plant had to treat heterogeneous soils and residues, including road-sweeping waste, drain-cleaning residues and drilling mud, containing both organic and inorganic contaminants.
Adaptability
The treatment system had to accommodate a range of wet-processing applications generating sludge with suspended solids and other impurities.
Compliance
The process had to meet the quality limits required for by-product certification and reuse, as well as the discharge limits applicable to surplus water sent to the sewer.

Sludge conditioning was configured to support subsequent filter-press dewatering.
Surplus-water treatment
Surplus water undergoes tertiary treatment to support compliance with the discharge limits applicable to sewer discharge.
