HEIM-Gruppe is a German family-owned company founded in Ulm in 1919, with more than a century of experience in construction, renewable energy and recycling. Today the group employs around 550 people across its different business activities.
The group operates across three complementary business areas: specialist construction, including civil engineering, road infrastructure and excavation works; extraction and recycling of mineral materials, including sand and gravel processing; and renewable-energy production, with biogas and photovoltaic activities in place since 2004.

The plant had to be designed as a semi-mobile system to minimise the civil works required on site.

A plant room for chemical conditioning and process pumps had to be integrated directly into the filter-press support structure, with the overhead-beam filter press installed on a steel walkway complete with support beams and access stairs.

The semi-mobile overhead-beam filter press had to limit the required civil works to a concrete slab.

Laboratory tests were carried out to select the most suitable flocculant and define the filter-press operating parameters, taking into account the required 20 µm cut size in the multi-cyclone circuit.

Automatic chemical dosing and filter-press cycle control.

A fully automatic, modular plant configuration.
The plant was tested and delivered as a turnkey system to a site more than 1,000 km from Tecnoidea’s headquarters.
The plant was arranged vertically to make efficient use of the available space and simplify process flows.
The water and sludge treatment plant for the gravel- and sand-washing plant in Frohnsdorf has been operating for 3 years, and you can see that the thoroughness of the preliminary tests really paid off. Requests for spare-part quotations and deliveries are also handled quickly.<br />
